Going Ivy Education Scholarships
Going Ivy believes that education is power. That’s why, in addition to helping students with tutoring, test prep and college admissions advice, we offer two scholarship awards every year to current or incoming college students.
Going Ivy College Thought Leader Scholarship: $1,000 Awarded Each December
Every December, Going Ivy awards a scholarship to students who, despite their young age, are thought leaders. This can come in a variety of areas. Perhaps you are a STEM star, and you have a vision for a new invention that could change the world. Maybe you are active in your community, and you have helped galvanize volunteers with your thoughts about a better world. Whatever the area where you lead, we want to hear your voice.
Here’s are the details:
- In 500 to 750 words, prepare an essay that answers the following question: How are you a thought leader? How do you intend to have your thoughts translate into action?
- In a cover letter or in the body of the email submitting your essay, including your 1) name, 2) address, 3) phone number and 4) email address.
- As the subject of the email, please write: “Thought Leadership Scholarship Application.”
- Please ensure your essay is attached as a .doc or .pdf file.
- With your submission, include your most recent transcript or report card.
- You may also submit a resume, but it is not required that you do so.
- Eligibility: In order to apply, you must be enrolled at an accredited high school, college or university and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Please note that four-year colleges and community colleges satisfy this criterion.
- Deadline: essays must be received by December 1 of each year.
Going Ivy College Motivation Scholarship: $1,000 Awarded Each July
Every July, Going Ivy awards a scholarship to students who have demonstrated remarkable motivation and determination in their college journey. At Going Ivy, we believe that internal motivation is the key to success in college and beyond. But not everyone has that. For those who do, we want to know why you have it, what it has done for you, and where you think it can take you.
Here are the details:
- In 500 to 750 words, write an essay that answers the following question: What motivates you? How has this motivation changed your life? What are you motivated to use your college education for in the future?
- In a cover letter or in the body of the email submitting your essay, including your 1) name, 2) address, 3) phone number and 4) email address.
- As the subject of the email, please write: “Motivation Scholarship Application.”
